Merritt Crawford of Sew Just BeeCuzz will teach you how to transform fabric circles into perfect Yo-Yos, arrange them into a charming tree, and add trims or buttons for sparkle. You’ll learn fast, accurate Yo-Yo construction, layout tips, and simple finishing so you leave with a wall-ready holiday piece (or very close!).

What you’ll learn

• Fast, accurate Yo-Yo technique (large & jumbo sizes)

• Balanced tree layout and color placement

• Simple appliqué/fusing to attach Yo-Yos

• Finishing a mini wall quilt (batting, backing, sleeve)

What to bring (students)

• Fabric scraps/fats in holiday greens, reds, neutrals (for Yo-Yos + background)

• Thread (neutral), hand-sewing needle, small scissors

• Clover Yo-Yo Maker (Large or Jumbo), or template of choice

• Background fabric (fat quarter or ~18″ x 22″), batting & backing

• Fusible web (e.g., Lite Steam-A-Seam or HeatnBond Lite)

• Optional embellishments: buttons, mini bells, ribbon/ric-rac, tiny lights

Provided (instructor/host)

• Hot cocoa bar (and snacks!)

• Irons/pressing station, cutting mats, rotary tools
